DOUBLE DROP, a seven musicians using London as their creative space and playground the group have who have quickly made a name for themselves as on the live electronic/bass music circuit.
With their ability of playing in real time and without the need of back tracks and bringing together their passion for genres like hip-hop, jazz dubstep and drum & bass, DOUBLE DROP is quickly becoming an established and esteemed group among their peers like Submotion Orchestra and Jazzsteppa whom they have supported in the past.
Last year the band released their self-titled debut EP on Canadian label, In Da Jungle Records. The record is an amalgamation of their knowledge of music, passions of different genres and excitement of live playing. Through these strands, DOUBLE DROP formulate an assortment of delicately devised sounds that do not rely on computer generated wizardry, but in fact wholly organic. This edge allows the sounds to create a magnificent soundscapes on which to journey through, finishing off with stunning vocals that compliment the multifaceted interplay of sounds.
