OPEN SOULS is a gathering of like minded musicians from some very different backgrounds. An Indian Classical vocalist, Ranjana Ghatak, Mercury nominated band, Polar Bear’s drummer, Seb Rochford and Beatboxer/Vocal Sculptor Jason Singh all come together to explore the relationships between these different concepts of sound structures.
This collaboration is about creating canvas that allows for the experimentation of skilful improvisation of classical Indian and elements of Jazz to be married with intricately textured atmospheric sounds giving an ethereal experience.
Open Souls are playing at the SOUTHBANK CENTRE on Friday 16th November 2012 so book your tickets now to avoid disappointment! They will be joined by virtuoso Sarod player, Soumik Datta and British-Austrian percussionist Bernhard Schimpelsberger come together to present a journey through Indian and European music in Circle of Sound – read our review of the album here.
