Since his last release, ‘The Jade Dragons‘, Austria based TinyType, has been working on a stunning collaboration with Indi Kaur called ‘Mowglis Dream’.
It’s a pretty emotionally charged and well crafted track. Its execution is powerful, especially towards the end with rising string sections and descant vocals. And providing both eastern and western vocals is the highly talented London based musician, Indi Kaur.
Prior to this she has collaborated with Atki2, Pinch Forensics, MaJiKer, Phaeleh, Moldy, Paul Kwitek, and with these producers she has releases on a range of white labels -as well as having had a remix done by Talvin Singh. So having her on TinyType‘s track is a tremendous thing and shes a great choice as her attachment to voice and melody is reflected in her pursuit for common/ traditional as well as experimental approaches to sonic art forms, mostly conceptual.
Influenced by many electronica genres, TinyType is showing exquisite taste fusing deep basslines with melodic rhythms, hypnotic deep soundscapes and ambient atmospheres to an electrifying oeuvre which quickly attempts to transcend and expand the boundaries of genres.
“Tiger&Dragon” is a sublime selection of epic tunes out of the Dubstep Universe. Abstract rhythms combining traditional Asian melodies with the emotional width of the western repertoires of electronic music.
The mix contains “Mowglis Dream” and other knowns from Pinch, Phaeleh, Forensics, Jack Sparrow and Gemmy.
