Currently residing in Mumbai, Bandish Projekt expresses the musicality of Mayur Narvekar – a classical tabla player raised in Ahmedabad by a family of classical musicians and arts enthusiasts, regularly draws upon his Indian musical roots to create indelible sounds. “Bandish” in its Indian classical connotation means “composition”, while “Projekt” reflects the experimental nature of the music. The result is a symbiotic conjoining of sounds. Whether it is folk music merged with electronic, or classical Indian ragas entwined into trip hop, Bandish Projekt successfully fuses melodies of yore with IDM (Intelligent dance music).

These explorations in sound have revolutionized concepts in music, thus breaking boundaries and redefining genres. This mix is a testament to these explorations …
