Last week, I posted about Sridhar & Thayil and Audiopervert – about some fantastic sounds coming out from India. The music from the motherland is pushing so many boundaries, challenging so many ideas and creating some magnificent pieces of audio art.

This week it’s Switch Bitch, and for those of you who are Roald Dahl fans, the name is certainly going to ring bells. Originally a set of short stories by the famous author, Switch Bitch is the latest electronic act to materialise from India.

Their latest EP titled ‘TREES’ [distributed through] is a three track introduction to their skill Abhinav Chaudhary, Nikhil Kaul, Abhishek Bhatia, Anshul Lall and Anupam Roy embark on a sonic journey of the atmospheric kind. Creating devoted melodies against sumptuous, sprawling backdrops that play a key part in the success of the richly layered soundscapes, perfectly chilled.

A unique synthesis of moody abstract electronica meets bass.
